For a limited time, players that own both Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred and World of Warcraft: The War Within will receive in-game rewards for both games. One of the items includes Baa'lial (pictured right)! This special promotion will run from December 17, 2024 to January 7, 2025. [source]

The Siren Isle Calls
13 new battle pets can be found on the new zone, Siren Isle.
- 9 wild pets
- 2 dropped pets
- 1 quest reward
- 1 pet from a vendor
Check out new Siren Isle pets!
A few pets will require a specific type of invasion on the island. Pirates for parrots, Naga for snapdragons, and Vrykul for boars.
Two wild pets spawn in the "stormy" version of the zone, which can only be accessed after completing the Special Assignment quest for Siren Isle.
Two more pets, Rock Hound Mica and Titan Orb, were previously datamined as pets from Siren Isle. However, they've been removed from the Pet Journal and flagged as unobtainable prior to the patch going live. We can only wonder when we'll see these two pets in the future, and if they will be collectible.
Upcoming Pets
Five more battle pets have been datamined as part of future events.
A Plundering We Go
The special battle-royale-inspired gamemode, Plunderstorm, is returning from January 14, 2025 to February 18, 2025.
Unlike the previous iteration of the event, players can collect rewards by purchasing them from the Plunderstore, instead of having to earn reputation with the Plunderstorm faction.
There will be two new pets, Parley and Sparklesnap (both pictured above), each costing 2000 Plunder. This new currency is earned by participating in Plunderstorm matches.
Missed out on the previous Plunderstorm pets? No worries, they will also be available from the Plunderstore!
Holiday Pets
Two new pets may pop up during the Feast of Winter Veil event.
Grunch (pictured above, left) is listed as part of the "You're A Mean One..." daily, which means the pet will probably have a chance to drop from the Stolen Present quest reward.
The Portentous Present (pictured above, middle) currently doesn't have a source listed. Could one of the presents under the holiday tree be a pet in disguise? We'll have to wait and see.
Last but not least, the Love is in the Air event may have a new pet, the Living Rose (pictured above, right).
Which holiday pet are you looking forward to collecting the most? What happens when a Portentous Present meets a Creepy Crate? Something awesome, we hope!
Update to Slim
UPDATE: Blizzard has rolled out a fix for Slim! Players that completed the quest chain prior to this patch will see Slim automatically added to their Pet Journal. Slim has also been made Unique and uncageable.
Slim (pictured right) has been missing and unavailable since the release of the expansion. Patch 11.0.7 may have fixed the issue, however it seems somewhat buggy.
Prior to the patch, Slim was listed as a reward from the (World) Quest, "Gutter Work", but the pet never popped up despite the WQ appearing a couple of times.
In the latest content patch, Slim's source received an update. It's now from the "Grand, Gusty Solutions" quest in Azj-Kahet.
Additionally, a new achievement with the same name was added in this patch, however it doesn't seem to be retroactive. Because the achievement isn't being awarded to those that already completed the questline that includes the aforementioned quest, an alt character is necessary to collect Slim at this time.
Unfortunately, the item that begins the quest chain that leads to "Grand, Gusty Solutions" might be bugged. Players that started the quest chain prior to 11.0.7, but never finished, might be able to collect the pet upon completion.
Blizzard is aware of the issues surrounding Slim, and are still working on a solution. Hopefully we'll see a fix in the near future.
