Found a junk one at 43, 74. There was even another rare in the set but figured this one was a harder one to find.
I encountered an H/H Blue. That thing, along with 2 other uncommons, wiped out my Nexus Whelpling and Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and a level 23 Mechanical I was leveling.
I grabbed the first H/H I found and will happily use a Flawless Stone to upgrade that puppy!
Just got one today - Happy Summer everyone!
I just returned after a year break. Last time I was in WoW I pretty much ignored this pet. Now it seems to be a mainstay in many of the new Legion Pet Tamers and becoming a new favorite of mine!
Squirky technique for those of you who are not quite yet level 110 and not really good at swarming scads of zerging murlocs.
First make sure you are fully repaired. This is going to take a death or so to make work.
You can swim across to the island get to about 20.60 20.80 in the water just outside the island (Murlocs can't reach). In front of you there is a hill that leads up wards. Just rush as far up it as you can until you're dead. Don't go to the top, about 19.5 20.9 is suffice. Then let the swarms kill you. Luckily there is a graveyard on the island.
Now run back and get to around 19.70 20.87. There is one of those murloc stands there and there is a Squirky. Be pet battle ready and wait for the swarms to turn their backs! Rez and immediately hit Squirky for a pet battle. After you nab Squirky and the battle is done you'll be mobbed and die.
Btw tested this and 2nd time got a rare!!!
Am I the only one who felt guilty breaking up the family of deer just to collect one for myself?
This had to have been the worst pet for me to gather. Surrounded by pesky critters that sometimes swarm you. It took me an hour (and a few deaths) to clear a path until I could get to the one crappy grey Shimmering Aquafly I could reach.
At that point I didn't care. I'll upgrade it to rare myself instead of farming for better.
I'm surprised this lil guy's rating hasn't gone way up! Just did Tanaan Terrors and this guy was the hero!! When all else failed he got the job done!
I just got my Ethereal Soul-Trader today from someone in trade chat for 17k plus some spare Salvage Blood (was going for almost 30k on AH). I LOVE THIS GUY. Sure it's annoying when you are trying to loot something he's on top of it. But he's so adorable and he sells the most useless stuff but who cares!. This guy with his zappy hands is my new favorite pet!
Dangit I want a Stay Puff Marshmellow battle pet and I want one NOW
*** pouts ***
*** cries ***
*** takes her toys and storms out of the sandbox ***
Fine I'll play by myself!
(ok just kidding but that would be an adorable pet!)
ps - can I get the Stay Puff as my profile icon?
Can I have a Fantastic Mr Fox pet that evolves into George Clooney? That would be cool!
I think when you least expect to find an Unborn Val'kyr, that's when one shows up. That's how I found mine - I wasn't even looking.
I got an S/S drop the other day and leveled up to 25. Today I used my Bone Serpent over at Tarr the Terrible using Bone Barrage, Death and Decay and Nocturnal Strike. I was very impressed at how the Bone Serpant easily took out one humanoid and got the second down to 43HP before dying. I will admit there was some RNG luck involved with the Nocturnal Strike, probably should have used Call Darkness instead of Death and Decay. But I am impressed with the skills of the Bone Serpant.
Anyone hungry for leftover Whiptail Fillet cause I got leftovers of it! That's what I was cooking when I finally got my Lil' Leftovers! It's nice that there is good use for the Cresent Saberfish. Before 6.1 that was pretty much garbage fish since it was not good for any recipe with extra bonus. But when I got the new recipes I cooked up a storm with amy stash of Saberfish and got it after cooking about 150 fish. Overall I think I probably cooked about 500-750 WoD recipes until I got the drop. Off to Ashlei!
I'm at the point that there isn't much else I can do with Battle Pets but being involved with the Azeroth Adoption Agency has brought a new level of fun to pet collecting! Rusti is such an amazing gal and so glad to have met her!!
This pet and the Arcane Eye are two amazing pets to help new pet collectors boost their pet collection with a higher level pet. I helped out a new guildmate whose highest pet level was 6, hooked her up with rare level 6 high quality pets I had extras of so she could start gathering pets. We took those pets down to the Deadwood Pass and found an uncommon Restless Shadeling, which she was able to easily capture. (Couldn't find any eye but oh well). BTW caught the pet at 11:55 EST on Area 52. At 12:01 all the shadelings disappeared.
That was a great fundraiser and an adorably cute pet. I just wish they had made a Mount version of Argi. The bug mount included wasn't as cute but still got it anyways!
Found mine around 2am this morning heading up to that cave on the hill.
I did try my luck with the LFR groups with Shattrah Dailies. I had great success finding Minfernal by building DK on an Oceanic Realm. But I knew it would take alot longer to build a toon high enough level to get into that area of Talador to find the pet. Then a friend suggested using LFR for the Assault on Shattrah Dailies. When you join one of those groups you move to the realm of the group leader, but since those raid groups are so large and in Talador, no one really notices if you're somewhere else looking for a Shadow Sporebat. That gave me a chance to look it less populated realms and usually I'd find at least one or two battle pets (always snails). Ironically though it was when I crossed back into Area 52 that I stumbled upon a Sporebat battle pet. It was just an uncommon but didn't care it's got a new home! (and a Royal Peacock too)
Favorite pet for Manos day at the Garrison. Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling can practically solo Manos, Fatos and Handos, 3 magical pets found as one of the Daily Pet Battles in rotation at the Pet Menagie in your Garrison. I usually open with Decoy, do a few Tail Sweep and when Manos is down to about 100HP I'll use Thunderbolt so I can start wearing down the other pets. You can use Decoy to safely bring in a low level pet to power level and I have a Nexus Whelping to finish things up.
I know I am excited. I just hit 500 pets and it will be tough for me to hit 600. There are some pets I will never be able to obtain since they were related to events prior to my serious collecting (anniversary pets and trading cards). These extra 13 pets will give me a chance to hit my 600 mark!
1402!
