Status Update (1)

Taking the new expansion at my own pace after a week of issues trying to start. Bastion has been enjoyable so far, and I chose Syla to be my adorable steward. I think I have all the wild battle pets from the zone now, and almost finished with the quests to move onto the next zone. Loving all the voice acting!

I hope everyone is travelling well in the Shadowlands :)

Void-scarred cat looks a lot like Jenafur also, wonder if it's related?

Young Venomfang doesn't change colour unlike what the notes say. No matter how many times I summon them, the green one always stays green, and likewise the blue one always stays blue. If you wanted both variants you would have to get one of each.

I don't think the 'spawns as one of four colours' is correct, it seems that once learned, the Cavern Moccasin stays that colour no matter how many times you summon it. Frustrating because there is 4 unique colours and only 3 slots :(

Had 2/3 of the colour variations in my collection, however recent patch seems to have reset them to the same colour T_T Unsure if they're meant to be the colour changing variety now or I just got shafted.

Took a couple of hours to find a rare wood wasp as a secondary pet, and another hour of resetting the battle, but I now have the gorgeous Dark variant of the Wood Wasp :D Very happy with the result, especially since I had the apocalypse going from the wood wasp's critter companion... *wipes brow*

Thanks for all your hard work at updating this site :) These changes will definitely come in handy, and I'm sure that those people who have put in the hard effort to level their pets to 25 will enjoy the new score boost as well!

I remember when I first started WoW and learnt about companion pets, someone told me about this site, and with WCP help I got my first pet - the Chicken :D

I've come along way since then and certainly not without this site's help <3

I caught this guy at the "fish area of the day" which was Krasari Falls (Krasarang Wilds). Having set myself up for the long haul, I was pleasantly surprised to have him as a secondary on my 193rd fish. :)

Arcanite Fishing Pole with Eternium Line + Nat's Hat and lure + Ancient Pandaren Fishing Charm used. Fished only in the pools spawning.

Not sure if any of this information helps but it's worth a shot right? ^_^

I absolutely love this pet! From eating small critters, to emitting posionous fumes, and occasionally eying me while lifting up the lid; as well as the way it rattles along behind you and the adorable sounds it makes!

Nivella beat me to it, but I definitely agree, Creepy Crate reminds me of TwoFlower's Luggage from the Discworld series (by Terry Pratchett). Especially the way it eats critters! When I discovered this pet it really made my day :D I love it to bits.

I love this years Hallows End!

Subject: Please... Just Take It

Ever since his brother was taken away. This little creature has been nothing short of a handful. The guardians and I have done everything we can to contain his energy, but our efforts have fallen depressingly short.

It is now clear. He wants to be with his brother. It took us nearly an hour to get him contained. Please, take him with you.
Perhaps some time outside of this cavern will do him good.

If you're on a PvP server be careful of people who are camping the cave - but not for Jadefang! I blasted my way up only to find a party of the opposite faction waiting for me (>_<)Needles to say I was killed, and judging by the few skeletons I wasn't the only one. After I ressurected I logged off and went to sleep. But logging on this morning made everything so much sweeter - Jade was there to greet me :D She gave me a Tiny Shale Spider after I promised to look after it :)

While hunting for this pet I found that if you skipped the fox in the spider area you could go faster (less mobs to kill to get to your foxes) Fox Kit dropped after ~415 kills. DOES bring up a [are you sure you want to learn this item] window so be careful of any pvpers wanting to fight you. Learn it fast incase you can't get back in time. Also this fox is the size of the cat pets, very cute!

Update: Finally got it~!
The last two rounds were a challenge, but I found that this worked best - 2 rows of sunflowers at the back (get them up as soon as possible!) 2 rows of shooters & 1 row of freezers after the sunflowers, (very important) and then have 3 vines (optional but fun) at the front with the rock nuts infront and to their sides (important!) by that time you just have to save up for pumpkin bombs and repairing what gets taken down. Good luck!

930 Scalding whelps slaughtered later in the Lethlor Ravine and to my suprise a Dark Whelping is sitting in the loot box! I tried farming in Dustwallow and got sick of dodging the hatchlings, so I tried Badlands and it was a lot easier. My pattern was to take the top half of the ravine, hug the walls, and do each run in circles. By the time you get back to the start the next spawn is there for you. No need to go past the elites if you're a lower level :) Good luck!

Thinking back into the 3600 whelps it took for me to get the Crimson whelp, I had settled into a comfortable grinding pattern on the emerald whelp, chatting away to guild members, and after 108 it dropped! Oh so happy... Although my cat wasn't too pleased. He got woken up from my squeal of delight. Needless to say he gave me evil looks for the rest of the evening...

Dragging herself to the gates of Hammerfall, she fought her way to the Inn and collapsed in bed. Smiling from ear to ear, despite the battered armour and staff, she turned to her side to see a tiny crimson whelping curled up beside her; wings curled and fast asleep. After everything, it had definitely been worth it.
I found that laps around the border of the spawn area worked best, with maybe only 1-2 Lost Whelps in your path. I almost gave up but the 3617th Whelp gave me the pet. :) GL!
