Took my level 90 hunter (ilvl 527) with a Chimaera pet. I just went through my normal rotation, I did not have to use a melee weapon to defeat Viscidus. The fight was short and simple. This was the first time with a hunter, my other kills where with a shaman (no pet drop), and I got the pet. I was very lucky, this being only my fourth kill.

I was plowing my way through the Longest Day, and found mine in Howling Fjord. I would highly recommend the addon PetTracker for finding spawn locations (and its other useful tools). I had no issues with Unholy Ascension, so I got lucky there. It was a B/B so I will still be looking for the H/H. Until yesterday, I hadn't even seen one, now I have one. Yippy!

Yes you can still get this pet. I just ground out the Battlefield: Barrens scenario and quest, and purchased this from Ravika.

I got this pet one the first try of the Opera event Big Bad Wolf. I know this is just the luck of the RNG. I was surprised and thankful. No drop from the Curator. Now I need to figure out how to get past the Chess event solo.
