This is a color changing pet. One of the four colors is randomly selected on summons. At least mine is that way, got him in Tanaris.

Got mine in the Cape of Stranglethorn. It changes colors between black and brown on summons.

Thought I might mention that this is a color changing pet. Random chance for one of the three colors on summons. At least mine is that way; got it in the Cape of Stranglethorn.
