I've been checking the BMAH on and off since Shadowlands and I finally saw it today! I play on a fairly dead server so I won it for only 36,900g with no other bidders. It was the last item up for bid and no other "good" items like containers were up today so I think people didn't bother with the BMAH. Low-pop servers might be the way to snag this pet for much less than the average BMAH prices!

I found one in the wild at (53, 61) in Revendreth but accidentally killed it. Glad to see it's not only a secondary pet though! Snagged a screenshot just in case.
