This will probably be the first critter I get around to levelling; I think it's one of the most beautiful pets out there.
As others have said, bats in Tirisfal Glades are only in the little forest by the lake in the far NW corner of the zone. You have to fly to get there. It's worth it, though.
I adore my bat - it's my go-to flying pet. Takes less damage from beasts, hits like a truck against critters and aquatics; if you've done much wild pet collecting you know how great a combo that is. Mine has been an anchor member of my team for 18 pet levels and counting.
Hahahaha, I got mine out of a bribe bag for healing a heroic. Zero effort phoenix hatchling for the win!
Fast, and sturdy with the self-heal. The damaging elemental shield also works while the pet is on the backline - cast it immediately, and then right before switching out for added hilarity!
While I initially played with it for its sheer rarity, this little dragon is actually on my core team of battle pets. It's more of a tank than anything, but a regenerating tank that's only weak against undeads and humanoids is useful in the wild, and Moonlight gives a nice synergy with any pets that do magic damage or heal themselves.
I also had more success grabbing them in the morning. Didn't have to kill anything.
If you're after this for its skills, it is functionally identical to the Oily Slimeling in Borean Tundra - which comes pre-leveled to 19 (after cap penalty) and spawns abundantly.
