For whatever it's worth, I haven't seen/caught a brown one yet. Not a lot of these little guys spawn, and it's not easy to check the colour in a dark cave.
I caught one around Rak-Ahat, but right below the Widow's platform there was an Azure Flickerfly with two Undermoths as backline. All three Undermoths have been blue and B/B.

I just captured a green Pewling, and the numbers prove out - I found a Fol'ya Pup with two Pewling secondaries, and after about 75 resets (I wasn't tracking carefully at first), one finally turned up. White quality, but I've hoarded plenty of stones to fix that. FWIW, it was just a little south of the Central Encampment, but north of one of the fire infestations.
The Briarhorn fortunately dropped from one of my first Rifts; I've been buying the pets as I've had enough Flakes just to be sure I get them all. Maybe by the time this toon gets capped, they'll drop me a mount...?
Finally found one (after Cobbleshell genocide) at 44.72/75.78, so naturally it killed itself in the fight.
My second one was at 41.89/73.70, and because there's sadism behind these rare hunts, the secondary Rock Martin was a natural Blue. The fight went better this time, even if the Scarlapod was only B/B.
Found one, somewhat by surprised, right at the edge of the waterfall around 46/74 after killing lots of stuff. I would have expected the Scarlapod to show up first in this area.
The older proto-whelp model, as represented by the Emerald Proto-Drake (for one), is missing a Blue representative. These newer ones, which look more like hatchlings, appear to be missing their Green, and include a grey-white member, Lubbins.

This was particularly cruel. I found a Slabwing at 49.87/59.97 that was the black-red version... and it was only a critter.
Found the white one as a primary just outside of Iskaara, past the bridge in the direction (NW) towards Whaler's Nook. I do not believe I've seen any green-eyed ones yet, but the light can be tricky.
NB, 5 Jan: Found another white ottuk in Iskaara, green H/B - just past Katuu's mammoth on the NE 'corner'.
Wain's compliment is insufficiently upvoted - this is an exemplar of a useful comment!
@Morphexia - does that mean you've caught one on live? I'd love to know how many tries it took you.
Head to Pandaria, and you'll be swimming in bandages and have loads of blue stones in no time if you have a lot of pets to level. 11 fights currently, and one of them is a 1-pet fight for a good start for low-level pets.
Although most of the Wowhead locations are on the Plains, there's one lonely little Stomper just outside of the Obsidian Bulwark in Waking Shores, at 40.94, 61.75. This is on a ledge near a tree hanging on to the edge. It's always a pet, too.
Location credit to rererebecca and Paxford in Wowhead comments.
(If you fly down the cliff, just outside of the Magmammoth Bull's aggro range, there may be a molten pet as well.)
To reprise what Ellewhite said:
Found fairly easily on the peninsula just east of the Wingrest Embassy. If you don't see any pets at all at first, click on the binoculars icon immediately to the left of the zone name in the upper right of the UI and ensure the Pets tracking is on. It is off by default.

I found more than one in the Life-Binder's Conservatory ruins. They were primary pets, with adders, palamanthers and ducks as secondaries.
I've had more than one Bog Beast spawn (they're pains, but not overly difficult), and have two of the pet now. Should be fairly easy to get with a little diligence.
I haven't found a natural Blue of these yet, but I do have two different colours of them - the 'blue' and the 'white', but not the 'green-brown'. I'm tired of looking these critters over, but I guess I'll have to for completeness.
Curiously, although you can kill the maggots for respawning, the crawbats don't seem to be able to be targeted.
My first battle-stone that I can't use (I'm out of Humanoids). It's a threshhold!
