I snagged an S/S on the AH for cheap. I've been running with Bone Barrage, Death and Decay, and Lift-Off. The glaring problem with this pet is how easily it gets locked out of moves. The only spammable ability it has is Death and Decay, and casting that over and over feels like a waste. Overall it's interesting but it doesn't fit my playstyle very well; I look forward to someone more experienced and creative than I to make use of this very speedy undead creature.
An S/S would be a great aquatic addition to a stall team. Dodge and Dive keep you out of harm's way while DOTs from other pets chip away at your opponent.
There's a lot of potential in this little multi-eyed cutie. Consume Corpse is always a solid choice and another Nether Gate pet is a welcome addition. What really piqued my interest however is the prospect of Enrage followed by Dreadful Breath. That's a lot of damage being pumped out and the additional 50% he takes is mitigated by his Magic family passive which will prevent large single hits against him.
I wonder if it's intended for his slot 2 moves to be exactly the same other than the names.
I'll admit that I had my doubts about this little guy at first but they were clearly misplaced. With Jab, Consume, and Wild Magic he's soloing entire teams of opponents at his level even when his attacks are weak! He's one tough little wretched individual!
I apparently have trouble with basic reading skills because I completely misread his signature move. If cast during Moonlight, When Elekks Fly always attacks first but it stays a 50% hit ability. I read it as "always hits in Moonlight". Oops!
I spent the better part of a weekend riding around Spires of Arak looking for a P/B breed. I slaughtered every single combat pet I came across trying to get them to spawn. Turns out the addon I use wasn't up to date and it just wasn't showing the breed properly. >.<
I'm torn on this little guy. He's quick but not fast enough to reliably get off his stun or Dive first every time he needs it (unless you pair him with a Dazzling Dance pet). That leaves him with Sunlight and Nature's Ward which are a decent combo but they result in switching his type to Elemental. I'm not the greatest at making teams though so he may be absolutely amazing with the right allies.
Any thoughts on best breed?
UPDATE: Having leveled and played around with him a bit I would like to suggest that S/S is an excellent breed. Getting Shell Armor off before your opponent can make their move is incredibly powerful. It's also worth noting that Shell Armor negates the recoil damage you're supposed to take from Body Slam making it a potent, low cooldown nuke. Very strong pet!
Highly underrated pet. Either of the third tier moves are a reliable escape as long as he/she is above 50% health and getting the benefit of the flying pet passive of bonus speed. For the other moves you can either go with a poison and nuke combo or a solid flying move and a heal. I foresee this pet getting a lot of PvE play for me.
It's worth noting that this little guy/gal has 10 different breeds. I consider myself extremely fortunate that I got an S/S on my first purchase because it makes Lash a solid choice for a spammable ability and it means Refuge and Sons of the Root will likely go first giving me two avoidance abilities should I choose to use them. Overall a solid pet.
The S/S breed is fast, it has an attack that takes advantage of its speed, it has a damage debuff, and because it's so quick Liftoff let's it avoid a Waterspout/Geiser/etc. Very handy pet!
I'm not sure why this little guy has such a low rating; he's a beast! I use him to power level my other pets because he can easily take on a full team of wild 25s by himself. Toss immolatation on him for easy damage and a guaranteed human passive heal every round, use the heal after moderate and big sized damage, and burn enemies down one after another. He's crazy good and easily one of my favorite pets.
@Necrogenesis: Just to clarify, Agony doesn't cause your opponent to take more damage from undead sources or abilities. The ability itself causes increasing undead damage. So on turn one it might cause 10 damage and then on turn two cause 15 damage. Those are just examples though; I don't have the actual numbers in front of me.
I traded for an S/S last night and immediately leveled him. So far I'm trying to take advantage of his speed with Rend and Flurry. I currently have Horn Gore in the first slot for those times when I'm going against something with move priority (Surge, When Elekks Fly during Moonlight, etc.) but I might switch that out to Stampede for the damage buff. Overall a very solid pet!
