Mongoose Pup

Easy to farm a rare since often times there will be two or three following a Mongoose. I found my rare outside of Niuzao Temple.

It had a Yakrat and a Grasslands Hopper as secondary pets, they can also have a Mongoose or another Mongoose Pup as a secondary as well.

Easy to fight if you use a flying pet and watch to see if he is using dive. I used a Fledgling Kingfeather (25) to fight him. I also had a Cat (25) and a Siamese Cat (25) as backups.

S/S Mongoose Pup (Gnaw, Survival, Dive) is my go-to counter for Death Adder Hatchlings in PvP. With its 357 speed, it'll outpace the Adder which means Blinding Poison will only affect it for one round instead of the usual two. Combo that into Dive, a 2-turn move, and watch the Adder pop. The Pup can also serve as a soft counter to Val'kyrs due to being an aquatic. And then you have Survival, which can provide two extra turns if timed well. All-in-all, a great anti-meta pet.

Im trying this little guy out and liking it alot. S/S version. Takes less damage from undead attacks so it is good against Valk for example.(Don't forget to Dive on the round CoD is about to go off)

Faster than Death Adder Hatchling S/S, takes less damage from DoT's, so can really mess that guy up.

Things to watch out for. With low healthpool you need to be careful what you get hit by. Birds of course. Sandstorm can screw you, more damage if you get hit and your attacks will be serverly limited.

Not as fast as the Mongoose, but mama has lower hp because of it. This guy is faster than the Kuitan Mongoose, but that one has a big health pool. 

Good middle-of-the-road fast aquatic dive pet.

Good speed boost as a rare, they do come as seconds if you are hunting grasshoppers.

got a rare while battling a clouded hedgehog, in townlong steppes. cords: 53.87, the widening deep. he is a cutie :)
