The Burning Crusade
Patch 2.0.1 | Posted: April 7, 2007
This pet is redeemed through the very rare 'King Mukla' loot card from the World of Warcraft Through the Dark Portal TCG expansion. The card may be scratched to reveal a code allowing access to this pet. The code may be redeemed at Blizzard's promotion retrieval page. The pet may be obtained in-game from Landro Longshot in Booty Bay.
In 2021, Bananas was part of Blizzard's new Charity Pet Program.
Upon reaching a $500k USD donation goal for Doctors Without Borders' COVID-19 Crisis Fund, this pet was unlocked for everyone. Bananas could be claimed for free from the Blizzard shop until August 1, 2021.

Although loath to part with Bananas, Landro realized it would be safer if the pet was far from Booty Bay when his father, King Mukla, discovered he was missing.
RIP value
I guess it's great that they're giving everybody the chance to get an old TCG pet with the charity event, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this pet. Exact same model and move set as Baby Ape you can get in Stranglethorn, and it's a B/B. Kind of underwhelming. Definitely looking forward to when Daisy gets unlocked.
I see that Bananas will be available free to all thru the WoW Charity Pet Program. Wondering if that version of Bananas will be the same as thru the card game, or maybe bound to account, while the card game pet is still auctionable.
Fastest of the three Primates(shared with B/B Baby Ape), but it also is the weakest. 276 speed is not that much but it might make a difference. Smash hits really hard and Banana Barrage is a good attack, especially when all attacks hits. Still I prefer the slightly slower Darkmoon Monkey or the P/P Baby Ape.
I've been seeing Bananas lately on the AH for 50-60k. I made a rare visit to the BMAH yesterday and was delighted to stumble across a Banana Charm for 22k, with a "short" bid time left. The impulse to bid was too great for me to resist so I threw in a bid and 10 mins later I had him.
The moral is to remember the BMAH as a possible source for that elusive pet. I was lucky, you might be too!
An annoying FYI, in 5.1 they changed http://www.warcraftpets.com/abilities/beast/barrel-toss/ from Mechanical to Beast... kinda peeved about that, as this is one of my top battle pets. :-(
Managed to snag him on our regular ah for 20k, does he normally come lvl 20 already? or did I just get lucky?
Seen 2 of them on the Black Market AH in my server so far, gave up on the first at 60k bought the second for 30k
Can't wait to learn him.
