Capable of sensing vibrations and tremors nearly a mile away, these young moles tend to burrow at the first sign of mortal danger.
I just captured the "white" variant after going through hundreds of Snifflers, and wow, it looks a LOT like the common yellow variant. I probably zapped some of these before.
The white is quite bright and looks a little yellow-ish in the cave lighting. The thing that I noticed that made me capture it was, darker toenails. I summoned my yellow Sniffler and looked at them side by side to see the subtle difference.

Reminds me of the Stonewhisker pet, also with a rare white tint - i got the pale mole after about three or four days of active searching and critter killing. Im happy as always when i get a "shiny", but TBH i wish the dev team would make some of these rare variants a bit more extravagant! If they want to make them, why not make them pop a little bit more?
This appears to be the Deepridger of The Ringing Deeps (if you're a colour variant collector...then you know).
So far I've only see the standard colour spawn, and Skittish Sniffler appears to spawn somewhat rarely, possibly sharing spawns with the Pinkskin Burrower (untested).
Won't be actively chasing as I'm not a fan of the design, but will keep an eye out for the rare Pale variant!
This pet only seems to appear as a primary, and only spawns rarely compared to most of the pets in the zone. But if you're into collecting all the colours it gets much worse:
There are 3 possible colours, and the yellow-orange one is by far the most common - it has a frequency of 100 in 111 spawns, or 90.1%. The grey one has a spawn chance of 10 in 111, or 9%. By far the rarest, the pale one has a spawn chance of 1 in 111 or 0.9%. (These figures are taken directly from database tables)
