This pet will occasionally sting its owner giving a debuff that says, "You have been stung by your own ill-tempered scorpion."
Players can participate in the Argent Tournament, a permanent event in northeastern Icecrown, to earn Champion's Seals. A representative of each race sells a race-specific pet. Horde characters may purchase this and other horde-based Argent Tournament pets once they have successfully "championed" that race's cause through various quests. Alliance characters may purchase this pet through a neutral auction house and on occasion through their own auction house.
A basic no frills or bells beast. There wont be any surprises when you use or battle this pet. The only thing I can think of that would be useful would be Crouching then Rampage. The problem is that the pet doesn't do enough damage to make it very useful these days.
P/S Breed is the strongest Scorpion and still decent enough speed to make good use of Crouch. Screech is just the alpha version of the much better Primal Cry. Also Scorpions have no attacks that benefit from going first, only really crouch wich is on the same tier. Triple Snap has potential if you like lady luck. Snap is still pretty weak with 289 power and can still miss. Rampage does hurt a bit though. Very generic pets that does not see much use.
I'm Alliance, and this was in our AH for 4,850G. Another person had it up bid only for 50G. I bid on it, was outbid within the next 24 hours at some point, but thanks to the ability to check the AH remotely these days, I was able to re-bid from work (thank you, Blizzard!) and monitor it until I was alerted to the win. I am feeling SUPER lucky right now! :D
As you can see in it, it has a 1 second casting time and a 15 yard range. So your scorpion will stop for 1 second when he tries to sting you, and if you'll get out of range the sting won't land.
