Patch 5.1.0 | Posted: November 27, 2012
Creating Imperial Silk using 8 Bolts of Windwool Cloth will yield a Silkworm Cocoon, which has a chance of dropping an Imperial Silkworm.
Tailors may only create Imperial Silk while in the Silken Fields in the Valley of the Four Winds.

This plump red caterpillar is world-renowned for creating the finest silk in Azeroth.
Just upgraded this to rare quality, and it only gained 5 hp. No speed or attack increase. I feel a little cheated tbh. Speed and attack are both 10, so just to have one go to 11 as well would have been nice. Can't have it all I suppose!
While bored at work, I logged to the remote AH and found this one for a mere 7G :) Only one on it as well, useful as I haven't seem it in one of the cocoons :(
Has anyone found this one in Rare quality upon learning it, or is it uncommon-only?
found mine in the AH for just 11g...next highest priced one was 500g
Just got this guy in the mail from my brother. This pet is going to be fun to have with me.
bought this and the saphire cub in the ah..worm was 50g, uncommon, cub 1500g, uncommon.
Dropped from a cocoon made with Imperial Silk. Drop rare must be pretty decent, this was only the fifth silk I've made. I suspect the other pet, the Imperial Moth, will be harder to come by. Good luck, y'all.
got the cocoon by making my nomal silk.
the other 15 imperial silk i made with spirits of harmony did not give anything.
Got this day of the patch! :) Now to keep trying for the moth!
Just got this while making an Imperial Silk.
