Azure Whelpling

12505 attempts finally go it!

Just dropped for me finally.  7577 attempts.

Azure Whelpling and Emmigosa have SAME move-set!  Both are great pets on a team.

im beginning to wonder if this pet has been eliminated or if it will ever drop.  im at

18,111 kills and Winterspring is getting very old.  Now i do realize that this drop is 1 in 10,000 but come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you guys are using the Rarity addon, which I am sure most of you are, but this helps counting how many times you have loot a mob with a chase of dropping a pet.  Along with knowing if a mob drops a pet.

I really didn't know anything about Battle Pets when this dropped, so much so that I even went as far as just leaving it in my bank inventory for the longest time.  I tried to sell it at a very reasonable price (way below actual value) but nobody had interest or just didn't see it.  When I finally discovered I liked doing pet battles, I decided to keep it and to add it to my collection.  There it stands as a reminder, ignorance is bliss. ♥

I'll never forget the day I got this pet -- It was way back when it still dropped in Azshara. I was waiting for a summon for a raid and decided to try my luck and get a few kills in. It dropped on my fourth kill (I swear, Blizz was just taking pity on me for the hours and hours it took for the Emerald Whelpling). Just after looting it, I got my summon to my raid, and ran the whole thing with this little guy chasing behind me.

FINALLY dropped for me in winterfall village. Must of looted 2000+ times. 

I was farming at Lake Kel'Theril and one dropped for me after around 130 kills. Good luck to anyone hunting!

Got this fool to drop off some furlbog punk in west winterspring....like, Bang! Gonna level him up and put the hurt in pvp with those sick ass slot 3 heaters.  "Oh, what's that? You want 800+ damage to the dome? Don't trip I got you."

I have never had so many heart attacks from Super Mana Potions before. Figured since I quested in Winterspring, I may have built a little "kill credit" and thought it'd be worth a shot to farm this pet. 568 kills from the start of my farming plus however many from questing and several heart attacks later, he finally showed up! Farmed Winterfall Village late at night for uninterrupted mob spawns.

Still no luck, but it will be all worth it when he drops :)

Just got this lil' guy! I'm a lil behind in my blacksmithing and cooking so i was in winterspring mining thorium. I noticed a few owlbeast and thought "well i can get some giant eggs for monster omelets" the 3rd one i killed he dropped! If only i could be so lucky on the minifernal!

Was flying around capturing pets missing from my list. Decided to hit Hyjal for the Nordrassil wisp. Caught one, then hopped over the hill to Winterspring. Echo isles, 8:30 Pm server, 8 kills in the village and it dropped. Sometimes you get lucky, I usually never do.  

OMG - I've killed the Winterfall Village a ga=zillion times and still no drop.  thoursands of kills...I know it will drop at some point...if I live that long.  I dream that place now! 

Got mine today! Seriously lucky. After about 250 kills it dropped. The best farm area is to the right of Everlook, all of the shamans and ursas. The respawn rate is fast and you get some good greens out of it too. There is also a rare that spawns in the area Grizzle Snowpaw, and he has a 0.09% drop chance [which is higher than all of the mobs in Winterspring (0.01% to 0.05%)] but his respawn rate ranges from 3-6 hours.

Got this today. Farmed winterfall village. East of ever look. Noticed the npc's started spawning faster and dropping better loot including blues. About an hour into this it dropped. I've noticed this seems to be the same on all the whelpling drops. Watch for the extra loot to start and the pets will drop soon.
