Promotion: Burning Crusade Collector's Edition
Netherwhelp's Collar
Item Level 20
Binds when picked up
Use: Right Click to summon and dismiss Nether Dragon Whelp.
This pet is a free gift for purchasing the Burning Crusade Collector's Edition. This edition is no longer sold in stores, however it had a sizable print run and can often be found on auction websites. While this is a rare pet, it's not quite as rare as the original Collector's Edition pets.

Offspring of the nether drakes of Outland, this young dragon is still growing into its role as hunter, protector, and adorable terror of the skies.
All my alts got this years ago and when I try to open Netherwhelp's Collar now to create a second one I'm told "You can't have any more pets of that type." Why did they send it to every toon and yet allow you to only have one? Maybe the rules changed since this came out. I was gone for a decade and missed much. Too bad.
Can confirm that the CE codes still work, if you can find one!
Got mine on 2/28/19, so codes can still be processed. Cost me a pretty penny to get the sealed collector's edition, but worth it seeing as how TBC was my favorite expansion.
Buyer Beware: It's not that hard to shrink wrap box; if your code is invalid, then you were unfortunately duped into buying a CE that someone already opened, used the code, then resealed.
Seems you can't get this pet anymore as they stopped accepting the BC Collector Edition codes.
Unless anyone can confirm this, I bought a sealed collectors edition and found out the code was invalid. A blue on the forums said they were no longer processing them.
@Panteo - Yes. If you buy the BC CE and it has an unused game code, you can use it to upgrade your bc to ce via the battle.net website. i just did this with the wotlk ce and got frosty. this will not work on used cd keys though so try to buy new.
I have played WOW for a couple years now. Started online and never purchased anything but game time. I would for pets. If I buy ce on eBay I get this pet. Is that right?
tbc best expansion with best pet
I bought the CE on Ebay. You can't upgrade your account to CE through battle.net so you need to send a couple of things to France (EU). I had already thrown away the paper on the backside of the CE but luckily I managed to find it (stuck between an old diaper and some iceberg lettuce).

this pets instability ability is currently glitched causing it to do normal dmg to creatures it should be strong against
meaning instead of doing 900+ dmg it does 600ish
