The Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling is a trainable pet in Mists of Pandaria. However, only Blood Elves are offered this option from Battle Pet Trainers. Once learned, all characters will have access to this pet.

Once prized by dragonhawk breeders in Silvermoon. Stands out at night to predators, making it necessary to gain awareness at an early age.
The dragonkins habilities from this pet are really amazing on some comps. Not part of my official team, but a great and powerful substitute.
This pet is deceptively good in fights. It's no Pandaren Water Spirit, but it can hold it's own for sure. The S/S breed synergizes with Quills, and with S/S it also gets a funky-but-powerful 309 base speed when upgraded to Rare. This makes it a very fast pet, and while not as fast as some other S/S pets it does have a higher attack.
Golden Dragonhawk is the middle stat sibling of the dragonhawk group. Healthier than Silver or Red while still being stronger and faster than Blue. S/S got 309 speed while B/B is tied for second strongest dragonhawk breed. Dragonhawks got nice combination of abilities. Cause burning with a slot 3 attack and then Conflagrate for increased damage, try and time confagrte with dragonkin racial active. Slot one is your very basi attack, Claw might be betterfor B/B, Quills for S/S.
Does anyone have the answer to HOW we get these to count towards our Eastern Kingdom Safari achievement?? Simply owning one doesn't count, and it's NOT a trap-able pet as far as I know.
GUESS WHAT??? Even though this (and the other dragonhawks) show as grey in your achievement "Eastern Kingdoms Safari"...when you finally obtain all the other "trap-able" pets...you get the achievement! I just got the achieve and all the animals that were "grey" (dragonhawks, cockatiel, etc) suddenly counted. YAY!So, anyone discovered wy this is greyed out yet? Bc i have it and its not completing for me either..
I can't complete the "Eastern Kingdoms Safari" Achievement either... I own both Golden and Red Dragonhawk Hatchlings but both are greyed out in the list and I can't seem to get them to acknowledge that I have them...
OK- the Eastern Kingdoms Safari achievement lists this pet and the other two colours to be 'captured' in order to get the achievement. I have all 3 colours which I have purchased,they are greyed out on the achievement list, because you cannot battle them....so how do you get the achievement??
