This pet is rewarded via the mail when your character completes the "That's a Lot of Pet Food" achievement. To complete this achievement, your character must possess at least 400 unique vanity pets. Upon learning your 400th pet, you'll immediately receive this pet in your mailbox.

This plant looks like a mix between a venus fly trap and a pitcher plant (or even just a bendable pitcher plant with tooth-like protrusions)
Interesting....After the tentacle pet, seems similar but I am hopeful. It appeared in my pet journal when I got the achievement but I didn't notice it until I was working with names. We will see :)
I don't much care for this pet, either. I'm leveling it up because I can't stand to have so many low level pets (I'm working on all of them while I collect the ones I need). It's abilities are mediocre and it's ugly as sin. It's not a pet I'll be using very often, if ever. I'm very disappointed in this being the achievement pet for hitting 400 as I feel Blizz could have done way better.
...got mine a couple days ago...not a very impressive pet...WOW should give this when you reach 100 unique pets...and they should give increasingly awesome pets every 100 more pets you acquire...by the time you get to 400 unique pets, you've put in a LOT of time and effort; WOW should give a pet that is as awesome as that accomplishment...I'm just sayin'...
Got mine today and he is awesome looking. WOW should give something for every 50 pets... 300, 350, 400, 450, etc. Would definitely be a hit.
Not as bad as I initially though but still quite mediocre. A bit too slow to make best use of Lash, unless facing 260 speed or less opponents. Can't really see the use of plant, you have to waste two turns to use it. Stun Seed can be quite nice, with both damage and stun. And being elemental this pet is of course better against mechanicals. Best bet is to Poison Lash, Stun Seed and then switch to another pet, since it really can't go toe to toe with many pets.
Does this pet appear super huge (To the point going off the journals screen) in the pet journal for anyone else?

Finally got him after catching the last pet I needed in Krasarang Wilds, just had to relog and he was in the listing. Wish there was one for 500 pets, but that would be pushing it. >_>
Oh, I am sooo slow on the uptake sometimes! lol I got the achieve at least a couple of days ago, and I did not realize until today that there is a new pet to go with it, when I was browsing which pet achieves I still need! rofl Very ugly (just imho!), should be called "The Sha of Pet Obsession."
got this little guy last night while getting pets in dread wastes. its cute. too bad it starts at lvl 1. but im just happy i got him. thats a lot of pets :)
just hit 250 ....sigh so this is my next pet huh =D reminds me of iri's pet in ruby gloom ,venus =D

Finally, from now now on, I'm the very proud owner of this wonderful new reward wich u will get for finding 400 unique battle/vanity pets! I really like it, but it should be moving/interacting more because it is a lot of work to get to 400 different pets.
@Monstercandy: You don't catch it. It is an achieve pet for collection 400 pets! (That's a lot of pet food)
Got this a few days ago =3 Only missing 4 world battle pets now but I got it before I got pandaria safari. I only went to pandaria when I pretty much was done with the rest of the world, save for minfernals, season, and weather pets. And when I went to pandaria I only needed like 10 more pets for it (I had 189 I think when MoP hit)
Just got this pet and when I dinged the achievement and went to my pet book Venus was NOT there so I relogged and there she was in my book so dont panic like I did, just relog! Cute pet.
