Players can participate in the Argent Tournament, a permanent event in northeastern Icecrown, to earn Champion's Seals. A representative of each race sells a race-specific pet. Horde characters may purchase this and other horde-based Argent Tournament pets once they have successfully "championed" that race's cause through various quests. Alliance characters may purchase this pet through a neutral auction house and on occasion through their own auction house.

Does anyone know the details of the change with multiple breeds on this?

Does it mean that anyone who has this, the stats have changed to the one breed?

Or does it mean any new drops will only be of one breed?

And what is the breed?

Edit: I just checked the one I had and it's 3/13 breed as before the patch.

So old pets were left alone but the new 'single breed' is the 9/19?

Why wouldn't they convert current pets as well?

Brilliant Kaliri, Jade Tentacle, Tirisfal Batling, Firefly, Jade Crane Chick, Gilnean Raven, and Shore Crawler are no longer available in multiple breeds.

Edit: I bought the rare item version of the pet off the AH and its breed was 9, 19 H/S after I had learned it.

As far as I can tell this is the only Argent Tourney pet that currently comes in multiple breeds. So be careful that you get the breed you want before applying a stone to it.

Presumably this was unintended. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Such a little cutie. Much cuter than I thought he'd be. So glad I shelled out for him (though I got him, for a "mere" 60g at the AH - don't look at me like that - I play Alliance!)

I really like this little guy; those feet are so cute. Has anyone found that his red sonar rings have a particular effect if there's another batling around, or in any other circumstances?

I love this pet. I was relieved when they added it because I wasn't playing when the Vampiric Batling was around, and I was afraid that I'd never get my favorite animal in pet form. I like that it's brown instead of black and red, because that's more like the bats that live around here :)
