This pet is rewarded via the mail when your character completes the "Menagerie" achievement. To complete this achievement, your character must possess at least 125 unique vanity pets. Upon learning your 125th pet, you'll immediately receive this pet in your mailbox, sent by Dalaran's vendor, Breanni.

One of the rarest creatures, this kaliri is set apart from others by its brilliant plumage and the lengths hunters will go to capture them.
Mine's breed is P/B. It was not fixed on accounts that already had. Is there any chance we could please get these fixed at the account level? IT SUCKS!
I just noticed I have the S/S breed. Is this the best possible breed? Now that it no longer offers unique breeds what is the default breed?

Mine is a P/S great attack speed & packs a punch.
Before I knew about breeds I was using this guy to tear up Aquatics. Little did I know at the time it was one of the stronger birds. I have the P/B build and at the time it did me justice. Between Quills and Predatory Strike, not many aquatics survived his onslaught - and it's pretty too!
Only available in 8,18 (P/S) now.

How do you know what breed you have then?
Brilliant Kaliri, Jade Tentacle, Tirisfal Batling, Firefly, Jade Crane Chick, Gilnean Raven, and Shore Crawler are no longer available in multiple breeds.
I need to whine: I thinks its unfair, that a unique pet can come in 3 different breeds. Specially when one of them is the only 5, 15, S/S breedset owls have.
SHould be noted that with the addition of the pet battle log you are no longer mailed the Kaliri, it just appears in your log. I was very stressed waiting at the mail box and almost opened a ticket :p
