1-14 of 14
1-14 of 14
Known to flourish in the rainy season, this insect is drawn to lightning storms.
Breed / Capture Advice :
As this moveset is shared alongside 14 other moths, there are plenty of options to cover all 10 breeds.
There are only 2 breeds of this moth, 1 of which is a very common, and is the only other moth (besides Blue Moth) with less than 3 breeds.
Shared breeds :
HS - Most (excluding Blue, Oasis, Red, Silky, White, Yellow)
PS - Amber, Gilded, Luyu, Red, Tainted
With a Rare P/S Amber Moth, any tamer using Aquatic pets is a complete joke. This little moth tore through Outlands for me in my spree of getting caught up, taking out entire teams by himself when needed. Fairly quick and strong, it's well worth going for a Rare (I found mine in the Klaxxi daily hub). Happy hunting!
These guys are somewhat useful vs No-no and other critter type pets in general, but they have a pretty bland skillset which is available on just about any other standard moth.
I was on my way to do the daily with Wastewalker Shu and saw a battle pet very near flightmaster Kik'tik in Dread Wastes.... No fighting, just took on that amber moth and ... it was to be my amber :)
Maybe you're lucky too.
After finding a few poor quality primary spawns, I got my rare secondary to a Silent Hedgehog.
I just love this pet. realy strong and u leave your rivels furstrated.
a well timed Cocoon Strike can easy block any good attacks against you like Lift-Off or Burrow etc. A lucky Moth Dust can also give you a huge advantage
I was getting frustrated with this one. Not only are they rare to find, but you have to fight 3-5 mobs to get to most of them, and then occationally they die because of some kind of arial effect while fighting. SO I noticed that they sometimes are a secondary, and I camped by Gorespine where all the Silent Hedgehogs are. I farmed the Silent Hedgehogs until I found my rare Amber Moth. Appeared with a rare Silent Hedgehog.
I found two amber moths on Zan'vess near the amber scorpions (24.4, 79.2).Â
Well, i've finished all of the quests in Dread Wastes and while doing that i engaged all battle pets i saw ( a lots of them ), since this one comes as 1st, 2nd and 3rd pet in group...didnt find rare ofc.
But 1st battle i started in Townlong Steppes ....voila.
Might be my crappy luck as allways, but my warm suggestion is to look for this one in Townlong S.
Enjoy! :)
I could not find one along Townlong Steppes, so I cam edown the coast to find an Emperor Crab and at 30.69, 56.83 (tom tom) found a Rare Amber Moth.
Not difficult to find, if you're persistent.
found an uncommon in townlong at 53.87 in the widening deep, battled a hedgehog :)
Managed to find four rare Amber Moths in a row as secondaries when engaging Mongoose and Mongoose Pups in Townlong Steppes (71,82).
Found a few flying around in Townlong Steppes at 49, 77 (Sik'Vess Lair) but most that I have ran across in this is always going to be a second or third add.
They are a very tough mob, may sure you have a magic user in your group for the extra damage bonus they give and have NO water mobs in your group as they go down fast when the Moth rules them.
