This companion is rewarded to Horde players that have earned Honor Level 5.
Players that have unlocked this PVP reward can use a max level Alliance character to purchase the opposing faction's equivalent pet for 500 gold.
This companion is peaceful and cannot participate in Pet Battle encounters.
Prior to Honor Levels, this companion was rewarded at Prestige Level 7 (2017). After the system conversion from Prestige to Honor, this companion had its Honor Level-requirement changed.

I wanted to nickname this little fellow after the orc boy from Children's Week. I can't! I'm so disappointed.
It seems they've fixed the bug, or at least I was able to buy the Gruntling when I tried it again the day before the week 2 part starts.
Someone can gently help about 1 question please? When i logged after 8.0 i had my squire cos i have the achivement 5 prestige. In theory i should be able to buy the gruntling too with my monk horde. I did it this char just to buy monk pet doing all the damn class quests and to buy ofc also the gruntling, but Sarah the UD who sells this pet in Dalaran keep the pet blocked for my char. I get alliance enthusiast and then bought horde fanatic pre 8.0.Please help me if U can. TYvm in advance.
As of Patch 7.3... Players that have earned a Prestige companion on one faction can now purchase the companion of the same rank on the opposing faction.
Requires you get to New Dalaran, speak to the PvP vendor and buy for 500 gold.
Each prestige level takes same time(50 level)
Do 3 daily tower quests - just kill npcs there are never any enemy players.
(Takes 20 mins to do all). Spend a "horn of war" to do pvp area world quest.
(World quest every 6 hrs but horn only every 18)
That gives 1400 points each day.
It will take about 2 and 1/2 weeks per prestige level - so 17.5 weeks @ 20 mins per day.
If you want to go faster then do some real pvp and it will take about 4 weeks.
I don't do PvP. I have been playing Legion since it came out, sometimes fanatically, sometimes casually, so I didn't really put A LOT of effort but I had the Horde Fanatic in mind, so when I had a chance, I did PvP World Quests to slowly, slowly get there.. Last week I did. Prestige 1.
Soooo... now only 6 more years and I'll get this little buddy into my collection.

Honor caps out around 1200 per level.
It isn't replacing the Horde Fanatic as I have that and the Duitful Gruntling is still greyed out. Obtaining Prestige level 1 isn't too difficult, I got it in a few weeks doing PvP casually. Every level you go up after that requires more honor so it will take more to reach each level.
So I take it this is going to replace the Horde Fanatic? Or is that available as long as we hit Honor Level 50? And how long does it take to get there?
