To earn this pet, players must first complete a quest chain that involves delivering mail, starting with the quest "Lost Mail". This quest can be obtained by looting a BoP letter on the ground next to a mailbox in Dalaran (Broken Isles). Alternatively, players that have completed the full quest chain will receive a Bind On Use quest item that can be traded to other players (à la Brawler's Guild invitation)
The quest chain will take players to the Postmaster's Office, as well as other zones on Azeroth. Check out Wowhead's full walk-through of the quests.
Toward the end of the quest chain a mini-game is unlocked where players must sort mail into tubes. Players can speak with the Postmaster to start additional mini-game sessions even after the quest "The Mail Must Flow" has been completed. Earning the achievement "Post Haste" will award the pet.
The Mailemental was likely inspired by a player suggestion on the official Battle.net Pet Battle forums.

The Postmaster is often described as esoteric, mystical, even inexplicable. For the precious little known about the enigmatic mail-master, perhaps none outside of the wax seal can confirm the existence of the fantastical letter-loving Mailemental.
I started this quest got to the mail room and decided to take a break. Well that was several years ago. Any suggestions? I got it!
Did not know this pet even existed, until some kind stranger announced in general chat @ Dalaran that there was Lost Mail in x location which would lead to x questline and x rewards. Bless the WoW community. :)
Contrary to the previous poster, I only used the Legion Dalaran hearthstone, not the Azsuna portal.
Can this still be obtained in BFA patch 8.3+? cause i just picked up the lost mail quest but i cant seem to finish it since Madam Goya isnt in the underbelly nor gives me any dialogue options in Zuldazar.
UPDATE: Nevermind guys, apparently she doesnt show up if you use the Dalaran Hearthstone to Legion Dalaran. You have to take the Azsuna portal and then proceed to fly to Dalaran for her to spawn. At least thats what i had to do.
Found the letter last night. Smaller than I thought it would be but still very evident beside the mailbox. Check your mail after and you’ll have a letter to go see the Post Master. If you have trouble finding him like I did the entrance is really a tube going into the ground over in the cemetery you run through to get to the pet battle area in Dalaran.
Got my extra package if anyone needs it to start the quest.
you can buy the boe version of "lost mail" from the AH that starts the chain and apparently you get another one at the end of the chain so, your basically renting it as you can re-sell the one you get at end of chain. If your impatient like me to wait around for 3 hours checking every mailbox ;) only cost me 10k on my server, worth it to me <3
When you ask to start the mail game, you will eventually get 2 options to choose from, the second one says I want more of a chalenge. You can get the acheivment and the pet on the easier first one, I just did :)
A warning to those who start this quest line and have grinded rep with the Bloodsails in the past: if you are still hated with Gadgetzan, you will be unable to complete the quest line. At one point you have to speak to a Gadgetzan goblin to sell a certain item, and as I discovered myself, I could not interact with him. I sent in a ticket to see if this is intentional or not.
Edit: Grinded the rep back, and got the pet. The final achievement is a bit difficult but she is super cute!
The spawn rate for the Lost Mail item seems to be about every 3 hours or so.
