As of Patch 4.3, the Darkmoon Faire has moved to its very own zone. Tickets earned prior to the patch are unusable.
The new Darkmoon Prize Tickets are obtainable through Darkmoon Faire profession-based quests, dailies, and turning in Darkmoon Faire Artifacts. Check out our Community Guide: Darkmoon Prize Tickets for more information.

Lacking the mines and rockets of its predecessor, this kid-friendly faire prize is a new favorite among Azeroth's children.
Overrated, especially for PVP. Slow, only one viable damage type, and decoy is really easy to break with moves that are common in the meta.
A relatively easy and powerful mech pet for new players. Just use the Fishing method described in the earlier comment to nab your 100 daggermaws and with the proceeds from the Treasure Map quest, grab the Zep. I think it is more valuable for new players than the Tonk which you can grab at your next DMF. Decoy protects your carry pet, and if you're near to a stable master, you can simply Explode and give all the XP to your carry pet.
An easy way to obtain a Darkmoon Zeppelin (or any DF pet) is now available at the Faire via fishing at any fishing level. Collect 100 of the Darkmoon Daggermaws that can be fished from anywhere on the island (fishing off the docks gives a chance for a Sea Pony pet) and turn those in to the fish vendor on the docks for a Faded Treasure Map which starts a scavenger hunt quest that rewards 100 Darkmoon Tickets. This can be done once per character but only requires level 15.
Was my first 'serious' battle pet. "Steve" and Sandii (crab) were what I used to collect many many pets. Still use him alot!
A definate must against beasts!
I have used this guy to get past several eletes in Pandara. Great guy for your team.
I highly recommend this guy for the fabled Pandaran beasts.
That annoying passive that cuts the damage they take does not apply to attacks whose damage is based of a percentage of health, like Explode. Add Decoy and Flyby to support the rest of your team, and this makes for a solid option.
Just got this pet as a prize playing the turtle ring toss! I'm so excited!
My favourite mechanical pet, ideal for beating down those beasts!! Bombing run, decoy and missile make short work of almost all of them. It is frustrating that the multi attacks like mothballs and swarm destroy the decoy in one go but hey can't have everything. Toughest foe he faces is the monkey in the darkmoon daily but more often than not Robert the darkmoon Zeppelin is the victor!! Well worth saving the tickets and levelling.
Patch 5.2 has caused the Explode ability to be bugged. It only ever does 40% max health as damage, even to Beasts who should take 60%; and Flyby does not increase the damage it does anymore.
Try jumping on the Darkmoon Carousel while he is out and see what he does.
I am still trying to figure out what shot him down when I was at a WCP guild event a few weeks bag. Suddenly, his balloon popped. Happened several times. Not sure what caused it.
great pet with good abilities.
If you don't yet have a pet with decoy, I suggest getting one. It is a godsend against some tamers. Beware though, moves like flurry and moth balls eat up its 2 charges with just one round, but big hits like whirlpool are a good choice to use this for.
Awesome and beautifully unique pet, definately worth the darkmoon prize tickets to obtain it. It's a little more fragile than I would like for something of rare quality, and although it remains in my main lineup, I always have to keep a closer eye on it than my other two main battlers. Despite being strong against beast types, poison from snakes will whittle it down right quick.
My guess is Thunderbolt explodes Sticky Bomb, and possibly Mine Fields.
I just got this as my first darkmoon pet yesterday morning, went on a crazy leveling binge heh, and got him up to 20. He's pretty sweet, question though, what does the secondary attribute of thunderbolt do? explodes any active bombs, I can't figure it out.. I thought it meant preempt the 3 rounds for the bomb from bombing run to drop, but that wasn't it.. Not sure about this, anyone know?
Love the bombing run, great for assiting other pets with getting xp.
This pet *is* attackable by other pets. I was standing next to someone with their Lil' XT out, and it took 3 zeppelin deaths for me to figure out that the other person's pet was assassinating my airship! :[ I like the whirring the engine makes. It's a small feature that makes it feel more authentic.
Overall really fun, and a nice addition to my pet collection.
