This companion is a rare tier Troll archaeology item. It is created by discovering and "solving" 100 Troll Archaeology Fragments. Players may utilize up to three Troll Tablets to aid in the solving of this item. Each Troll Tablet is the equivalent of 12 Troll Archaeology Fragments.
Once completed, an entry on the Voodoo Figurine can be found in players' archaeology tab: "Voodoo figurines such as this were built and animated to assist troll witch doctors in minor, everyday tasks such as washing loincloths or scrubbing blood off the hut floor. They were often powered by flasks of mojo, troll sweat, the flesh of tribal enemies, or by DEVOURING TINY PORTIONS OF THEIR OWNERS' SOULS. But don't worry. Teeny, tiny little portions. You won't even notice they're gone. And think how clean your floors will be!"
Is the location in Western Plaguelands correct?
There is no digsite at those co-ordinates.
While effective in battle, I'm very disappointed. The tooltip for Rot is VERY much incorrect. It does not cause them to become undead. Neither flyers nor elementals lose their family traits. Instead of becoming undead, they take damage as undead, which is a very different thing, in a very important way.
If you are sick of using a 3 snail team against Chi-Chi, then try this guy on the team. Making Chi-Chi undead, with Rot, reduces her speed, and therefore her damage (her main ability gets an additional proc if she goes first).
Helps if you check your alts' archaeology. Been lamenting the lack of this little guy on my main. Randomly decided to check an alt, and she was 93/100 for the figurine. One dig site later, yay!
Very underestimated pet. I use him in probably 75-90% of my boss-type battles. He's one of the best attrition pets. You can use him against almost everything, even many critters, and he'll almost always get at least 1 kill before he dies. Then he'll leave a wild magic on for extra damage for your next pet.
Didn't this pet use to have the move "dark simulacrum" that copied an opponents move instead of having rot? If so when and why did that change?
Pretty diverse and useful moveset. Strong vs humans/dragons/mechs. Or you can use it to buff dots, turrets, lightning weather. Sear magic can be extremely useful in removing stuff, dots/curses/cyclones etc. And Rot can be fun, sadly some attacks then get weak, so find another pet to use for Rot. I think this has the best stats of the Voodoo Companions.
I have to say this. When this pet debuffs apocalypse its triggers it to happen. Which kills him. But only on the casting vodoo figurine. The enemies apoc still stays at the same countdown.
Difficult pet to level since he has no heal, and so many skills are strong vs undead, he is basically a little mage and is useful to start out the fight because once you level him up to 10 he can apply 2 dots and then switch out. His debuff remover is great so that he can't get stuck on the battlefield by a cage spell.
As a vanity pet, this pet is wonderful. He has little sounds and the way he moves is pretty amusing.
On the other hand, as a battle pet this one is a dud. He gets wiped in three or four turns, while he's only delt half the enemy's health in damage.
About the tablets, I keep getting more of them than I can spend as many trollifacts allow only fragments to complete them. Maybe I should sell them on the AH? No idea how much gold they go for.
